This place is bomb. It's located in a smaller food hall in downtown LA that has a few other really nice places to eat out as well.
This is basically like a build it yourself pasta place. You get to choose the kind of pasta that you want and then also the kind of sauce that you want and if you need any veggies / meats on top. I tried the pesto cream sauce and I was a huge fan. It was very rich and tasty but may have been a bad idea for lunch because I had a massive food coma when I got back to work LOL.
I'd recommend walking here because I didn't see any free parking anywhere. It's a must try!! -

Heveans is the man! Customer service here is on point, and even my mom who refuses to eat out anywhere, including michelin star restaurants, loves this place.
The food is seriously amazing and bursting with flavor. Funcolo, besides the great name, is truly a hidden gem in downtown.
I have yet to try anything on the menu I haven't enjoyed, go check it out! -

So glad I stopped by here!
This restaurant is reminiscent of the nearby Grand Central market. Within this small food court there are Thai, Mexican, Japanese and Mediterranean places as well. I decided to go for Italian.
It's a build your own pasta place that does offer specials as well. I decided to build my own pasta.
You can chose from various options like fettuccine to ravioli. Then sauces from vodka to pesto. "Unlimited" add ons include eggplant, olives, and more. +1 for protein like chicken or meatballs.
I ordered a pink vodka sauce fettuccine with onion, eggplant, mushrooms and meatballs.
It took only 5 minutes for them to whip this up. The portions are generous and I received 3 meatballs with my meal. The food was delicious, pasta cooked perfectly ala dente and the sauce was amazing. Meatballs were a bit spicy.
I will be back! -

So good! The squid ink pasta, the pesto sauce, the olive oil sauce, all so good. They cook their pasta perfectly al dente, the sauces are all very tasty and well-textured. I've come back several times already. Their menu is so easy to work with and service is always very polite and cheerful. I'll be back!

MAD GOOD!!!! I was having a mean pasta craving and Yelp led me here. Y'all. I was amazed at how fresh it tasted. I was supposed to take it to go but I promptly sat down and ate half of my food right there. I was staying in DTLA so it was already within walking distance. Would DEFINITELY come back here! Don't forget to get your lemonade after you check in.
